I had some free time on my hands and decided to do a resound of a short sequence from Cocoon, a game I really enjoyed for its beautiful fusion of sci-fi, glitchy aesthetics and an incredibly organic, alive sonic world.

For this resound, I created most of the sounds myself using Phase Plant and Vital, layering and shaping them with a fun bunch of little effect chains (maybe πππ fun, if you ask me). There are a few sound assets as well, but the focus was really on hand-crafting a world that feels alien, ππͺπ²πΆπͺπ₯πΊ-π£π¦π¦π±πΊ-π£π°π°π±πΊ, and coherent with the game's original vision.

It's been a while since I've been wanting to try my hands on a sci-fi sound palette that feels more π£ππ¦πΆπ’π³π¨π©πΊ π’π―π₯ π¨ππͺπ΅π€π©πΊ π’π―π₯ π΅π¦πΉπ΅πΆπ³π’π, pushing and driving synthetic elements into sonic forms that feel strangely soothing and natural (to me at least, but what can I do, I'm a sucker for glitchy ASMR). It was a fun lil' creative challenge, and I learned some really cool things - and crafted a bunch of very fun Phase Plant and Vital presets along the way!
